My Tuesday Thoughts – How Great Thou Art!
As it was with Daniel in the lion’s den, I rely completely on my LORD, my God. I cannot get Carrie Underwood’s voice out of my head singing “How Great Thou Art”. My God, my God, truly HOW GREAT THOU ART!
The words keep echoing in head, “then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee, how great Thou art, how great Thou art” and He is! As I said on my Facebook post, I have never, ever in my entire life heard such a beautiful and moving performance of that song as the one done by Carrie and Vince Gill. I never knew that a guitar could sing like that and it sang this one almost as good as she did. But, honestly, as I watched Carrie I could feel the presence of my Lord within my being. He was in me, around me and through me as I cried at the magnificence of it all and the way it moved me. It without a doubt touched my heart, soul and spirit. Thank you LORD for everything.
I’ve done numerous other posts today, so this one is short and sweet. Until tomorrow…
Always remember that Jesus died for us because He loves us!
Live in the splendor of the Lord today,

The Surrendered Life
The surrendered life is the careful life. The sanctified steward uses what belongs to Another and handles it very carefully against the day of accounting. On the other hand, the surrendered life is a carefree life. Losses that devastate the natural man are endured with amazing calm by the sanctified man, for how can he really lose what he has already relinquished?
R. B. Acheson
It is the surrendered life
that lives with greatest care
as on the edge of a knife
there is no caution to spare.
For His stewards are we all
in this world of His creation
and we will rise or will fall
on the seas of our expectation.
If this one thing we know
that to us nothing belongs
nor with us will it go
it becomes one of those songs,
That when you sing them out
they float up into the air
for all those who are about
to hear them as you share.
Then the surrendered life is free
when we’ve made this concession
that nothing belongs to me
all things are God’s possession.
When there is nothing to lose
what a wonderous thing it is
and we relinquish as we choose
to surrender what is His!

You Took My Parking Space At Church
YOU TOOK MY PARKING SPACE AT CHURCH
This should wake us up.
One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near him, the driver got out and said, “I always park there! You took my place!”
The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church pproached him and stated, “That’s my seat! You took my place!” The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.
After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said,
“That’s where I always sit! You took my place!” The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing.
Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change.
Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, “What happened to you?” The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from
his eye, “I took your place.”
What an e-mail this was to read first thing this morning! You know me, it brought tears to my eyes. We should all take a moment to think about this and how we treat others.
Jesus, help us to walk in love,
