My Children, How I Love You!

My children, how I love you
you grew inside of me
the day you were born into
this world how I did see

How much I truly loved you
when we had bonded instantly
with my first touch it’s true
how this love overwhelmed me

I took one smell of you
that’s etched upon my memory
your tiny hands are too
what I can almost see

I know God had sent you
as a blessing just for free
and no matter what we do
it will go into eternity

From that first day I knew
and I think you will agree
forever I am a part of you
just as you’re a part of me!

Every experience that God gives us
as through this life we go

though oft we do not know

Every person that He puts
into our lives each day
though some come and go
there are ones who stay

It’s all the perfect preparation
for a future that only He
through the span of our lifetime
in His Divinity does see

So cherish each one of them
the great and the small
the good and the bad
for there’s meaning in them all!
