Storybook Fairytales

When I was a child
as many children often do
thought stories of the wild
and fairy tales were true

The unicorn of fable
and the enchanted wood
with fairies always able
working magic for our good

As there the pixies play
all around the ivory tower
where the sleeping princess lay
waiting for the midnight hour

When her white shining knight
would ride upon his steed
slay the dragon with his might
and with a kiss be freed

How I long that the past
with its simple childish pleasure
throughout this life would last
to enjoy it at our leasure.

Pretty As A Peacock

Pretty as a peacock
a saying we’ve all heard

And it is a term
that’s not at all absurd

I look at a picture
of this majestic bird

Think of God creating it
with but a single word

He said let it be
a proud and regal bird

And for all humanity
this lesson to be heard

“I gave beauty to your life
by the power of My Word

May you live for My glory
and love Me as deserved!”

First Rate Version

We each have a beauty
unique and our own
it would be a tragedy
to become another’s clone

Be the first-rate version
of who you are today
not a second-rate version
of someone else along the way

You should always know
to cherish the real you
that God has created so
you’d brighten this world too

He loves who you are
and designed you to be
a bright and shining star
in heaven eternally.

Sunflowers

I passed a field of sunflowers
which made me think of you
and all of the many hours
we have spent together us two

When the garden you did plant
the wind had blown it apart
the corn lay at a slant
and I just about lost heart

But I straightened up each stalk
and asked God them to bless
as through the garden I walk
it was such a beautiful mess

I saw that wildflowers were there
in the middle that you’d sown
and done it with tender care
for me to have as my own

And then on the very end
tall and proud they stood
the wind their heads did bend
but those sunflowers looked so good

Sweet memories of you, my love,
that I’ll carry to my grave
and with the help of God above
many more of them I’ll save!

A Hoax Everyone Should Know About – A Pathetic Trick To Play On People!

Slow
Dance
This
is a poem
written by a teenager with cancer.
She wants to
see how many
people get her poem

It is quite the poem
Please pass it

on.This

poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a
New York

Hospital.

It was sent
by

a medical doctor
Make sure to read what is in the closing statement
AFTER THE
POEM.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever
watched
kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to
the
rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a

butterfly’s erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the
fading
night?

You better slow down.

Don’t
dance so
fast.

Time is short.

The music
won’t
last.

Do you run through each day

On
the
fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear
the
reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie
in your
bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through
your head?

You’d better
slow down

Don’t dance so
fast.

Time is
short.

The music won’t
last.

Ever told your
child,

We’ll do it
tomorrow?

And in your
haste,

Not see
his

sorrow?

Ever lost
touch,

Let a good
friendship die

Cause you
never had time

To call
and say,’Hi’

You’d
better slow down.

Don’t dance
so fast.

Time
is short.

The music won’t
last..

When you run
so fast to get somewhere

You
miss half the fun of getting
there.

When you worry and hurry
through your
day,

It is like an unopened
gift….

Thrown
away.

Life is not a
race.

Do take it
slower

Hear the
music

Before the song is
over.

FORWARDED
E-MAILS ARE TRACKED TO OBTAIN THE TOTAL
COUNT.

Dear All:
PLEASE pass this mail on to everyone you know -
even to those you don’t
know! It is the request of a special girl who will soon
leave this world
due to cancer.

This young girl has 6 months left
to live,
and as her dying wish, she wanted to send a letter telling everyone to

live their life to the fullest, since she never will.

She’ll
never make it to prom, graduate from high school,
or get married and have a
family of her own.

By you sending
this to as many people as
possible, you can give her and her family a
little hope, because with every name
that this is sent to, The American
Cancer Society will donate 3 cents per name
to her treatment and recovery
plan. One guy sent this to 500 people! So I know
that we can at least send
it to 5 or 6. It’s
not even your money, just
your
time!

PLEASE PASS ON AS A LAST REQUEST.
