Oh Lady, my Lady Blue

I only wish I knew

What I’m supposed to do

My Lady, what about you

 

I see in your eyes

You have heard my cries

Your veins cold as ice

And my weakness you despise

 

Although you are a fantasy

When you look back at me

I’m wishing that I could be

As cold as you Blue Lady

 

But I know in this mess

It’s my heart God will bless

And I never have to guess

If He thinks of me less

 

So just forget Lady Blue

That I even asked you

Just Run Away

If I could just run away
and escape my fear and pain

If it’s only for one day
then I might not go insane

Dear Lord, You must help me
or I won’t make it through

Mommy, why can’t I be happy?
That’s all I want to do

I am sorry that I cry
seems every time we talk

But on you do I rely
to push me when I balk

Oh Mommy, Mommy, dear Mommy
you make me laugh out loud

That’s why I call, you see,
you make me strong and proud

No matter how bad I feel
when I pick up the phone

My sadness you will steal
and I know I’m not alone!

What I Want To Be

 

What I want to be
when I’m a grown up
is a real cowboy lady
with a little mangy pup

Ride my horse all over
the field, prairie and range
eat me some sweet clover
though people think it strange

Rope a cow or two
take a bull by the horns
pick a rose for you
from a passel of thorns

I always want to live
to be wild and free
take what life doe give
just as God intended me!
