Faith is to believe
in what you don’t see
That God lives
inside you and me

Faith is to live
as we’re commanded to
Give God the glory
that is His due

Faith is to believe
in Jesus the Son
That our salvation
He has won

Faith is to love
in His way
Be kind to each other
through every day

Faith is to believe
there’s an eternity
Where our reward
we will see

Faith is to act
on what we know
Walk the righteous path
as along we go

Faith is to believe
in God’s love
And we will see
His heaven above.

The Monster Within

 

There’s a green-eyed monster
within us all
who’s there just waiting
for us to call

He lies dormant
deep down inside
and his time
does he bide

Until the rise
of our jealousy
fans the flames
to burning envy

And then we will
let him out
That his poison
we’ll scream and shout

When nothing good
in him does dwell
for he’s a demon
straight from hell

God did command us
to keep him away
that he does not
lead us astray

So always remember
we  have the power
to slay that monster
every day and hour!

My heart is broken
don’t you see

Why did you
do this to me?

Eight years of marriage
are now lost

You didn’t even
consider the cost

Why did you go
 and cheat on me?

You left me here
drowning in misery

Did you think
this was a game?

It’s all over and
you’re to blame

All I do
is cry and cry

Until my tears
have all run dry

And now you want
me to stay

But I can’t pretend
it all away

Time has come
to move on

For whatever we had
is now gone

Why oh why?
God please help me
