A Heart

I drew you a heart
in the sand today
but the waves came
and washed it away

Glad I took a picture
that I could show
it then to you
so you would know

I was thinking of you
 my love’s like the sand
when a million grains
you hold in your hand

With that image then
can you now relate
how my love for you
is so very great?!

Missing You

I am missing you

I feel so bad today

What will I do

Can’t make it go away

I’m like a little kid

To summer camp went

Who flipped their lid

After they were sent

And missed mommy so

All they did was cry

‘Til home they did go

And told camp good-bye

Now I wait for you

After your work is done

Say how much I missed you

For my love you’ve won!

So Sad

I feel so sad today
it’s like I’m empty inside

That I feel this way
is getting hard to hide

I really do not know
a reason that I’m sad

But it’s beginning to show
and that makes me mad

‘Cause people look at me
and they just don’t understand

That I don’t want to be
“the leader of the band”

I want to be alone
somewhere that I can cry

Where there’s no ringing phone
with my friends asking why

I won’t go with them
to dinner and a show

When I have this problem
I just don’t want to go

So to the Lord I pray
and ask Him to help me

For there is no other way
from this sadness I’ll be free!

Dear Father in heaven above
show us Your infinite love

Shower down Your blessings please
to put our minds at ease

For as we scamper and scurry
we are fraught with worry

That never seems will cease
Lest You grant us peace

Dear Father, hear my plea
and come to rescue me

For Your blessings I pray
to shower on me today!
