Just A Pencil? – You’ve Got To See This One From Mom – AMAZING!

BE SURE TO READ THE PARABLE AT THE END !!!

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK .

2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.

3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.

4.) IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.

5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

We all need to be constantly sharpened. This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities. Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what’s inside of you and then allow yourself to be guided by the hand of God.

  3. WOW … this is a great post on many levels. The pix’s showcase a huge amount of patience. The parable a beautiful sentiment. It is so worth the long transfer process you had to endure. You must THANK , Mom … a gem of a person.

    Isadora

    • Thanks Isadora! Yes it was worth the effort!! I could not help but show this one to all of you, it was just too amazingly cool. Yes , I will thank my mom today when I see her and yes, she is the best :) I do love her dearly!!!! Blessings to you too, Terri

  4. Yes and it also requires effort on our part to work together to keep ourselves sharp. For as iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17 (NLT)

    • Amen! It was an amazing e-mail – wasn’t it!! We need others, true friends and believers, to help us stay in the Sharpener’s hands and not jump out when He whittles us down to size at times :) Peace, love and blessings, Terri

  5. This was so encouraging. Thanks.

  6. I’d love to know this artist’s story. The creativity and talent embodied in this is amazing.

  7. Determination is a remarkable thing. Think how many times that sculptor was almost there and then slipped, and had to start over. Truly remarkable.

  8. Wow, that was amazing and very profound! Thank you!

  11. This is amazing, talk about detail oriented!

    • Isn’t that something! I wonder how long it took them to do all those mini-sculptures and how many they broke in the process. Unbelievable gift!! Smiles and hugs, Terri

  13. that is amazing

  14. The proverbs at the end are very inspiring and are can be related to anyone’s life. Think of it, we are all pencils in God’s hands and he uses us to write the stories of our own lives. The closer you are to God the more you can negotiate with him about what he writes with you….

  15. The work is a credit in itself, but adding Getty Daltons name to his work is only right.

    • Wasn’t that just about one of the coolest things that you ever saw? I loved it so much that I just had to share it and saw the other day that it had been “stumbled” over 12K times!! That’s one way to get His message across :) Blessings, Terri

  16. Symbolic illustrations!
