This Day’s Thought from Tuesday and Wednesday

This Day's Thought

Prayer Requests

I don’t just commit sin.  Apart from God, I am sinful.  My problem is not just what I do; it’s who I am without His nature.

Beth Moore

This Day's Verse

Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!  The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Psalm 28:6-7
The King James Version

This Day's Smile

The most fruitful and the most joy-filled Christians are the most pruned Christians.

This Day's Thought

Prayer Requests

No man is prosperous whose immortality is forfeited.  No man is rich to whom the grave brings eternal bankruptcy.  No man is happy upon whose path there rests but a momentary glimmer of light, shining out between clouds that are closing over him in darkness forever.

Henry Ward Beecher

This Day's Verse

The ransomed of the LORD will return.  They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads.  Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isaiah 51:11
The New International Version

Every Day

Do you believe in luck
on it do you bet?

Or is everything a blessing
that from God you get?

Either way you see it
and any way it goes

It doesn’t matter to me
what life at me throws

For whether luck or blessing
to me that you are

You make my whole world
so much better by far

Than all of the years
that have gone on before

You came into my life
to love and to adore!

Before All Of You

Before all of you

Friends had become few

Those I once knew

Faded out of view

Before all of you

The loneliness that grew

Through my life blew

Like a wornout shoe

This rose I give to

My friends old and new

Because I value you

And the things you do!
