This Day’s Thought From Monday & Tuesday
| Prayer Requests |
Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all that life really means.

Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
Proverbs 1:5
The English Standard Version

The study of God‘s Word for the purpose of discovering God’s will is the secret discipline which has formed the greatest characters.
James W. Alexander

Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
Mark 10:21
The New King James Version

Beethoven once said of Rossini that he had in him the making of a great musician if only he had some difficulties to struggle with and some failures. Beethoven understood from his own experience that struggle produces greatness.
The Dragon
There is a dragon
when time does end
Who wants with you
an eternity to spend
When his very presence
was long ago foretold
By the holy prophets
in days of old
It is through deceit
spun in intricate webs
That away from God
the world slowly ebbs
Fall not into temptation
of his silver & gold
That outstretched to you
his hand does hold
When those led astray
are all around you
Defense of your soul
shall be up to you
It’s a choice we’re given
there with you does remain
If you stand with the Lord
and to His salvation lay claim!

The Piper
Tweedlely – deedlely – dee
tweedlely – deedlely – dum
parents hide your children
when piper does come
Before his magic flute
innocent ones may hear
or ’twill deceive them
into having no fear
Tweedlely – deedlely – die
Tweedlely – deedlely – do
parent your children’s safety
is depending on you
When out to them
his song does call
with a beguiling appeal
in a trap they fall
Tweedlely – deedlely – dede
Tweedlely – deedlely – doe
throughout the earthly world
does the devil go
With a persuading tone
tempting souls to play
so that wicked piper
can steal them away!

The Christmas Rabbits
‘Twas two little rabbits
that on Chrismas Eve
The grandest of meals
they once did conceive
For serving their family
gathered on Christmas Day
To celebrate the coming of
the Truth, Life & Way
With presents all wrapped
and under the tree
In hushed whispers did
speak of the Nativity
And remembrance of when
the Virgin gave birth
On the day the Son
of God came to earth!
