This is wonderful and the thought at the end is so true!
Never look down on anybody, unless you’re helping them up.
Please read the following quietly then send it back on its journey
Time waits for no one.
treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.
The origin of this letter is unknown,
but it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.
Remember….
Hold on tight to the ones you love!
Do not keep this letter.
Send it to friends & family to whom you wish a good, long, happy, life
Justice – Weekly Photo Challenge
photo shot in Manhattan by FrizzText
As I kneel here waiting
the scene I am contemplating
Those people staring at me
with their shock and curiosity
Whispering in each others ear
looking at me with fear
Yet I won’t hang my head
but hold it proud instead
Although I broke the law
and everybody around here saw
What would you have done
if he molested your son?
They can take me away
’cause I got my justice today!

My Friday Thoughts – “What is Wrong With You Today?”
That is the question my husband asked me last night when I showed him my posts for the day. The e-mail about the stuttering kitty got a raised eyebrow because of the s-word but when he heard my limericks, that was the kicker. Shaking his head he looked at me laughingly saying, “What is wrong with you today?! You wrote that?! On your blog?!!! What about God?”
I explained to him that a limerick is supposed to be somewhat raunchy and that mine were mild compared to some of the ones that I have read; I attempted to do them as tastefully as possible; I had not used any swear words; the humor was in the visual; and lastly, that God has a sense of humor ’cause where else would we have gotten it from? Then as I added, “Besides, I needed a good laugh today to easy some of the stress I’ve been through this week!” As my brother’s e-mails always state “I can’t help it, I’m Irish!”
Mark started to walk away, laughing at me of course, then turned and said, “Well, there goes some of your subscribers after they read that!”
Therefore, I thought that I may need to put out a quick apology to anyone that I may have offended yesterday in my diversion for the normal state of my blog. Please do forgive me if I did, it was not done with any malice in mind.
I appreciate and cherish every one of you who have seen fit to follow what I write, comment and “like” my posts. You make everything that I do worthwhile and I take your feelings seriously.
In the future, I will try to refrain from such off-the-wall behavior but, in all honesty, can make no concrete promises – just keeping it real!
Peace, love and blessings,
Terri
Abandon Praise
Along the shore I danced
and with great abandon praise
The Lord of my life
as thanksgiving for His grace
Being unaware of the time
I pranced around through space
The joy of my abandon
could nothing there displace
And all through the sand
my footprints you could trace
Even though the evening tide
did some of them erase
The warmth of the sun
I felt upon my face
As ever up and down
the shore in dance I race
The pleasure of His presence
I found in this place
Told me He was watching
my abandon dance of praise!

Israel, Oh Israel
Israel, oh Israel
God’s chosen nation
In you I’ve found
is all explanation
Roots there begun
have led into
My belief in
the Father of you
Israel, oh Israel
through grief and pain
To God Almighty
loyal you remain
My loving support
to you I give
And forever will
long as I live
May God’s every blessing
as rivers to you flow
That you are His nation
all the world to show!

The Ballerina
There once was a story
that as a girl I heard
of this pretty little ballerina
that seemed to me absurd
Who had found herself in
a dream oh so weird
that she had gone crazy
this ballerina all but feared
Where in a peculiar way
was perched on a wall
and reaching out to catch
a falling star on a ball
There also was a jester
who was juggling some more
along with these white geese
who were honking a galore
When it was all done
my mother to me explained
the meaning of the story
which to this day remained
The ballerina was all mankind
and each of the balls
a blessing out of heaven
to catch as it falls
The jester was the devil
who creates our earthly struggles
and to believe in God
around our mind he juggles
As the geese his demons
go honking in our ear
all to distract us from
finding our way through here
But if we just reach out
with some faith and trust
to catch those falling stars
to flee from us he must!

The Well
Threw a coin
into the well
then in silence
did I yell
Just this one
wish give me
when it’s my
most earnest plea
For a love
felt so strong
that it can
never go wrong
With a desire
for such bliss
found alone in
one man’s kiss
One heart beating
attune with mine
as only created
by the Divine!
