A Spot Of Tea
to have a spot of tea
as normal as can be
and spotted you down here
if you’d be so dear?”
to Cinderella at the time
but instead how he did rhyme
or anything of the such
to me all that much
want for me to sing
in the tune you’re warbling?”
for there’s a problem you see
and no warble’s left in me!”
Cinderella’s heart was broken
then realized that he had spoken
what’s this game you play?
how did those words you say?”
and shook it to and fro
“you won’t believe me I know!
cast a spell on me
must sing to set me free!”
why didn’t you just say so
and back to yourself you’ll go!”
birdie became a prince no less
now Cinderella is his princess!
And Floaty Things
Butterflies and fairies and
all floaty things
Are a fantasy made of
in our imaginings
Where as marvelous as
they are magical
It doesn’t matter if
they are practical
For it’s all in
our mind’s eye
That these creatures
around us fly
Impish and teasing
with us they toy
In our imagining
of a whimsical joy
That only in the
heart of a child lay
When it is freed
just go out and play!

Cut Off
There have been many times
that I’ve felt cut off
When I’ve believed the world
does merely at me scoff
When I’ve been brushed aside
run over in their haste
Because it seems they think
what I’m doing is a waste
I feel like I’m dangling
high up above the pit
And the demons down below
are yelling, “Go for it!”
As an angel is whispering
“You can’t make it alone!
God has not left you
out here on your own!”
While there on other side
my dreams I can see
Are shining like a beacon
as a temptress luring me
And there lying in between
a chasm, a great divide
While I teeter on the edge
as I’m trying to decide
“Don’t act a foolish imp!”
I hear my angel say
“For you know deep down
the answer and the Way
Don’t listen to any of
those voices down below
To fulfill all your dreams
you know where to go!”

Never Alone
Father, do You see me?
Jesus, do You hear me?
Spirit, are You with me?
Why do I feel so alone?
Father, do You love me?
Jesus, do You know me?
Spirit, are You in me?
Why do I feel so alone?
Father, are You up there?
Jesus, do You really care?
Spirit, are You anywhere?
Why do I feel so alone?
Their answer came to me:
Child, do you see Me?
Child, do you hear Me?
Child, are you with Me?
You are never alone!
Child, do you love Me?
Child, do you know Me?
Child, do you call on Me?
You are never alone!
Child, I am always here!
Child, I will always care!
Child, you’ll find Me everywhere,
You will never be alone!

I wrote this poem for my brother last year when his transplanted liver was failing on him and we didn’t know how much longer he was going to be with us. He felt so alone and depressed one day when I was talking to him and after I hung up, I sat down and started writing.
That has been one year ago. The doctors didn’t think that he would make it through to the new year. They were wrong and have declared his “near perfect” liver of today a miracle! That is the power of prayer and trust in God my friends.
I thought that in mind of the season, I would get this one out, dust it off and re-post it. I hope you enjoyed it
Have a blessed and Merry Christmas with a safe and Happy New Year!!
Love,
Terri
