Dragon Deep
Dragon of red
among the dead
In caverns deep
your treasures keep
You demon spawn
from the beyond
From days old
collecting your gold
In abandon greed
with hasty speed
Your coffers swell
there in hell
Left wanting more
what you adore
Your every action
brings no satisfaction
When is no peace
for the wicked beast
From the dawn
until time’s gone
In the pit remain
trapped in your pain!

Rainy Days – Short Story Slam Week 18

On those umbrella rainy days
my good mood with me stays
If I just close my eyes
and there a fantasy I devise
When my umbrella sprouts some wings
as I fly above all things
Up there in the sky floating
while the ground rain is soaking
I drop flowers from the air
a little sunshine just to share
And up there all the while
on my face a great big smile!

This Day’s Thought From Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
| Prayer Requests |
We are apt to mistake our vocation by looking out of the way for occasions to exercise great and rare virtues, and by stepping over the ordinary ones that lie directly in the road before us.
Hannah More

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23
The King James Version

Who well lives, long lives; for this age of ours should not be numbered by years, days, and hours.
Guillaume de Salluste Du Bartas

They crucified him with the criminals. Do you know what this implies? Don’t be too surprised if I tell you that this was the first Christian fellowship, the first certain, indissoluble, and indestructible Christian community. Christian community is manifest wherever there is a group of people close to Jesus who are with him in such a way that they are directly and unambiguously affected by his promise and assurance. These may hear that everything he is, he is for them, and everything he does, he does for them. To live by this promise is to be a Christian community.
Karl Barth
Fear of the LORD teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.
Proverbs 15:33
The New Living Translation

Forgiveness is God’s invention for coming to terms with a world in which, despite their best intentions, people are unfair to each other and hurt each other deeply.
Sharon Jaynes
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:11-12
The King James Version
I once visited a weaver’s school where the students were making beautiful patterns. I asked, “When you make a mistake must you cut it out and start from the beginning?” A student said, “No, our teacher is such a great artist that when we make a mistake, he uses it to improve the beauty of the pattern.” That is what the Lord does with our mistakes.

It’s been a long hard road but the battle is over, the war is won, and life is GOOD!
