The Cat’s Party

The cats were having a party
because the dogs had one
and as being their antagonists
those cats refused to be outdone
They were all there heavily drinking
while one of the brothers sang
which he did so very badly
tears to their eyes it sprang
The smoke kept getting thicker
with poker the game for the day
while the pot continued growing
larger with each hand they play
‘Til one cat accused another
of being a dirty cheat
and then a fight ensued
from the others getting beat
The next thing anyone knew
was sirens had filled the air
for the local law enforcement
had made an arrival there
As the cats all scrambled
’cause dogs made the rules
when it came to the police
those bulldogs were no fools!

with or without sound
I danced time away
in my imaginary play
A ballerina of dreams
life’s not what it seems

I barely leave the ground
