Mark is my “gentle giant”
he towers over me
For he stands 6′ 1″
and I’m under 5′ 3″
When he’s strong
and yet compliant
It’s on him
I am reliant

The fact that we
so well get along
Just seems to me
like the old song
By the Beatles’ sung
which reminds us of
The one requirement
“all you need is love”
Which I find
to be true
When every day
I see it too

And yet don’t think
that he’s a marshmallow
When he is a fiercely
protective kinda fellow
Which only adds
more to his charm
He’d never allow
me to suffer harm

Now you can see
why I named him so
And I wanted for you
my gentle giant to know!!
