2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

About 55,000 tourists visit Liechtenstein every year. This blog was viewed about 220,000 times in 2012. If it were Liechtenstein, it would take about 4 years for that many people to see it. Your blog had more visits than a small country in Europe!

In Honor Of July 4th; via A Friend and Fellow Blogger

Freedom certainly isn’t free -  God Bless Our Military Men and Women Serving Our Country Under Very Difficult Circumstances! And God Bless America!

I HOPE THERE ISN’T ANYONE ON  MY E-MAIL LIST THAT WON’T KEEP THIS GOING.
Happy 4th of  July!….

Let’ s get this started now,
So it will be out there on the fourth!

I  PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE

FLAG,
OF THE

UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA
 ,AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR
WHICH  IT STANDS,

ONE
NATION UNDER  GOD
,

INDIVISIBLE,

WITH
LIBERTY
AND JUSTICE  FOR ALL!
KEEP IT LIT!!

KEEP IT  LIT!
For  all of our other military personnel, where ever they may  be.

Please
Support all of the troops  defending our Country.

And God  Bless our Military

who are protecting our Country for our  Freedom.
Thanks to them, and their sacrifices, we can celebrate  the 4th of July.

We must never  forget who gets the credit for the freedoms we  have,

of which we  should be eternally grateful.

I watched the  flag pass by one day.
It fluttered in the  breeze.

A young Marine  saluted it,
And then he stood at ease.

I  looked at him in uniform;
so young, so tall, so proud.
With hair cut square and eyes alert,
he’d stand out in any  crowd.

I thought how many  men like him
had fallen through the years.
How many  died on foreign soil;
how many mothers’ tears?

How many pilots’  planes shot down?
How many died at sea?
How many  foxholes were soldiers’ graves?
No, freedom isn’t free.

I heard the sound  of Taps one night,
when everything was still.
I  listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.

I  wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant  ’Amen.’

When a  flag had draped a coffin
of a brother or a friend.

I thought of  all the children,
of the mothers and the wives,
of  fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted  lives.

I thought about a  graveyard
At the bottom of the sea.

Of unmarked graves in
Arlington .
No, freedom isn’t free.

Enjoy Your  Freedom

and
God Bless Our Troops.
When you receive this,

please stop for a moment
and say a prayer for our  servicemen.

Of all the gifts you could give  a
U.S. Soldier, prayer is the very best  one.
MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA
AND MAY AMERICA BLESS GOD!!

Thank you Len for sending this to me, and yes I will keep it going!!  God bless you, America and her troops!!!

Here's your sign, baby

It is only in the hands of God, you will find rest.

It is only in the hands of God, you will find hope.

It is only in the hands of God, you will find peace.

It is only in the hands of God, you will find meaning.

It is only in the hands of God, you will find healing.

Ten Times More

Someone once said,
“If you believe one-tenth of what you say you believe
you should be ten times more excited than you are.”

And I ask myself the question: Where and why do we fall short?

Maybe it’s this . . .
- We fail to remember that being called “believers” means we “believe.”
- We fail to remember what it is we believe.

I Am Officially Losing It Now - PRAY For My Dad!!!! PLEASE

Reblogged from What about God?:

Okay everybody, I feel like a broken record with the prayer requests here but I am officially freaking out now.  I was worried enough about Penny as it is.

I just got off the phone with mom.  I called to see if dad was eating any better yet and she informed me that they were back to the hospital and he had just gotten out of surgery!!!

Well, I guess dad had blood in his stool again this morning and mom took him to the ER. When they got in there, they said his stomach was full of blood. No wonder he had lost his appetite. The went down his throat and clamped off the ulcer. they have given him three more bags of blood and he is resting. They will keep him in the hospital for a few days to see if the clamps are going to hold. If they don't, they will have to do a more major procedure and sew it closed but they are trying to avoid doing that. :( That's all I know so far. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
