An Ordinary Man
The true hero is
just an ordinary man
who takes what life gives
doing the best he can
And who finds the strength
although he may seem weak
to go the extra length
required among God‘s meek
That he then might persevere
when the way gets rough
and keeps his goal clear
that our Shepherd is enough
Who helps him to endure
despite what he has felt
in a life that’s unsure
and the cards it’s dealt
For in spite of the obstacles
that most would overwhelm
There is a God of miracles
in this world’s evil realm
He takes his cards of hardship
with those of grief and pain
and gives them to the Kingship
where loss is turned to gain!

The Meaning of Love
The problem of reconciling human suffering with the existence of a God who loves, is only insoluble so long as we attach a trivial meaning to the word “love.”
C. S. Lewis
Why is suffering allowed at all?
It’s a question asked by many
when any tragedy does befall
in a land of milk and honey.
How can a loving God exist
Who’d allow such a bad thing?
It’s what some people insist
is a total lack of reasoning.
But what it comes down to
is how you would define love
’cause the capacity that’s in you
doesn’t come close to God above.
Would you take your only son
and kill him this very day?
For that’s what God had done
when He gave us the Way.
That’s how love is truly defined
and the greatest kind I know.
So it’s in the suffering that I find
the evidence of His love will grow.

The End?
The world’s in utter chaos,
we are losing all control.
The evil one runs rampant
to corrupt the innocent soul.
Money has become our God
and it’s worshiped everywhere.
Greed has poisoned our society
But nobody seems to care!
Are we really so gullible
that we just cannot see
we’re blinded by our lust
and are no longer free?
Although sin is widespread today
there still can be conceived
the image of a righteous Man
in whom we once believed.
Do you think it possible
the beginning of the end
is just around the corner
or does it all depend?
We could put a stop to
the spread of hell’s disease,
send it back into the pit
then God’s wrath would ease.
If we show we’re faithful
and from our sin depart,
the Father would forgive us
I believe it in my heart.
But I am just one person
who is sounding off the alarm
to rally all the brethren
before we come to harm.
Just watch for the signs
’cause they are always there,
God tells us ahead of time
that we should then prepare.
The future could be changed
if together we would pray,
repent of all our sinfulness
that in God’s grace we stay!
