Hi everybody! Yesterday I was completely absent from internet. I spent most of the day sleeping and feeling out of sorts.
1) Later in the afternoon I found out that they were admitting Mark’s dad to the hospital for some tests. They think it is either his gall bladder or appendix. He went to the emergency with extreme stomach pain. That’s all we know as of right now. Please add him to your prayers, his name is Al.
2) I got an e-mail from mom (plus talked to her last night on the phone). Dad is in a regular hospital room right now. Here is a clip of the e-mail she sent me;
3) Penny was taken out of the ICU yesterday afternoon. I tried to reach her room/cell phone but was unsuccessful. I talked to her son, however, and he said she is doing much better. Her children ask that you pray for a speedy, full recovery and thank you!
Praise God! I am thrilled with the progress that has been made and keeping the faith that it will continue. I worry about dad and wish he was here in more familiar settings. I think it would help him greatly to have all us kids around. Hopefully that will happen soon.
Again, I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this trying time!!! You have all been so marvelous and I am blessed!
Love to all,
Terri
Thank You All So Much! – Update on Dad
Wow, it’s been a long stressful day. As a matter of fact, the stress gave me a huge headache and so I slept for a few hours this afternoon while waiting for mom to call me back with a report.
The think that they have found the source of dad’s bleeding, an ulcer in his stomach. Praise God!!! Much less serious that what we had thought of as possibilities.
They will keep him under observation a treatment for a couple more days and then release him as long as everything goes well with the medication that put him on and the bleeding has stopped.
That’s what we know so far. Thanks for all your kind words and prayers!!! I am truly blessed by them and you all!!
Until tomorrow,
Terri
Different And Same
We are all different
here upon this earth
Whether poor or privileged
depends upon our birth
Each one of us has
a nation, race and creed
But we’re all the same
in many things we need
Food for our bodies
that we must eat
A simple pair of shoes
to put on our feet
There must be water
for the growing seed
To harvest crops that
do the world feed
We want to have
roofs over our head
And the comfort of
a nice, warm bed
Some have these things
then others do not
But let one thing
to never be forgot
The Father and Son
in heaven up above
Watch over us all
with compassion and love
We are supposed to do
with each other the same
Live in peace and harmony
and not each other blame
Any war and conflict
isn’t a Godly thing
And only more animosity
does any of it bring
So let us sow peace
when we want to fight
And show each other love
morning, noon and night!

A Father’s Love
Nothing in the world
like a father’s love
And nothing better than
our Father up above
They both love us
deeply as the other
In life we’re all
a sister or brother
And their little babies
the Fathers do protect
They are deserving of
our gratitude and respect
For if they scold
it’s because They should
Only to be done
for our own good
And a Father’s love
runs so very deep
It is something that
you will forever keep!
