What can I ever say
I’ve not said before
About the one man
that I love and adore
God sent you back
’cause I needed you more
Than the heaven that
you were aching for

My heart’s forever yours
my darling, my dear
And of that one fact
let me be perfectly clear
Whenever the end of
our lives grows near
Together we’ll be in
the next no fear
-
But now just because
you float my boat
It does not mean
that you can gloat
Yes, I am kidding
you smart old goat
When all my love
to you I devote!

(I had to add the last stanza because my darling husband was being ficious when I was reading this to him and suggested a line like – And to me it is clear, I deserve to drink a beer – to which I added – All because my little dear, I had to put up with you here! Smarty pants, lol!!)
How Ever?

my love for you today
and do it in a way
the depth of it convey?
How ever do I show
the breath it did grow
from a few years ago
that you will truly know?
How ever do I make
you sure I won’t forsake
the vows I did take
before we cut the cake?
How ever will you see
in this life of mortality
what you mean to me
when you are my reality?
The best that I can do
is every day telling you
and pray you see it too
for, baby, how I love you!!

Let Me Count The Ways
Why do I love you
let me count the ways:
Because you’re always there
whenever I need you
showing me you care
with all kindness too
Because you have loved me
with no thought of selfishness
I come first to thee
how my life you bless
Because my children are
like unto your own
which exceeds by far
what I’ve done alone
Because you married me
when for my recovery
no hope did see
you acted so selflessly
Just wanting to tell you
in oh so many ways
all I want to do
is sing your loving praise!

You’re the best surprise
that could ever be
When God has given
a blessing unto me

You’ve always come through
each and every test
That life has thrown
at us both together
I should have known
how them you’d weather
