The Wintertime
In the wintertime
oft’ I’ve found
spirits get low
nerves are ground
With the snow
that’s falling down
in a world
an ugly brown
Life seems all
dead and gone
when you’re trying
to hang on
As the stress
keeps adding up
and overflows
your peaceful cup
Don’t forget this
most important thing
that all hope
does eternally spring
Just as Winter
ever comes around
so with Spring
will life abound!

My Friday Thoughts – Winter Approaching
With winter approaching, I can’t help but wonder how I am going to be able to do what I am supposed to.
This morning I left the house at 7:05am to take Sara to school. I dropped her off and returned home at 8:25. That is in good weather. When the snow starts to fly out here in the country, I don’t know what time we will have to leave – that is if we can leave at all.
It’s really messed up that the court can order me to drive her clear across 2 towns to school. One consolation, which isn’t very acceptable to Mark, is that I have a key to Mom and Dad’s house in town. So when they leave for Florida, I can take Sara in there to spend the night if the forecast looks too bad to stay at home. Of course my husband isn’t thrilled with the idea of me being stuck in town and him out here
It’s not fair all the way around to any of us but it’s what I am stuck with for now and I’ll just have to deal with it. I guess I’ll just have to hope and pray that we have a mild winter this year.
For all my complaining, don’t get me wrong! I am thrilled to have gotten this far with the court system and feel pretty confident that when we go back in January, Mark and I will be given custody of Sara. Since I passed the drug screen, Jim can’t try to say that I’m still on drugs like he has been. With me getting Sara to school and picking her up on time, he can’t say that I am incapable of taking care of her either!
I thank God for it all!!!
Always remember that Jesus died for us because He loves us!
In His love,
Terri
The Snowprincess
The snowprincess is waiting
with patience she’s anticipating
The first day of snow
setting the world aglow
With an icy glimmer
of crystal diamond shimmer
On a moonlit night
she cherishes the sight
Of fresh snow falling
when no creatures crawling
or human tracks mar
the countryside afar
Then at the sunrise
what’s blinding the eyes
Melts under the its beam
as if only a dream!
