If I were to say
that God was existential

Some would tend to think
of it as being empirical

We know Jesus lived
on this earthly sphere

But I’m inclined to note
He is now existentially here

So tell me true
are you totally confused

Because of the big words
I have chosen to use?

I guess what it is
that I am trying to say

Very simply put is
that Jesus lives today!

Words
are combined
or stand alone

Definitions
have each
of their own

Used
for speaking
thoughts to convey

Written
as history
for another day

 Words
should be
used much more

Communication
is lacking
like never before

Understood?

If, “There’s a plethora of tidbits
that are contained in my head.”

Was something that I simply
just out of the blue said

Would there be any weight
that it would carry with you?

Or from one ear to the other
would it just go right through?

If I said that my peccadilloes
were much more than a few

Would you have the slightest inkling
of what I was telling you?

Or would the thought of conversing
be more than a bit scary

Liked you’d need an encyclopedia
or to bring along a dictionary

I wonder if we weren’t all
wrapped up on how we sound

Just trying to each other
somehow amaze and astound

 With the brilliance of
our most intelligent  mind

What do you suppose
that we might find?

Worthwhile communication?

Diamonds and Pearls

The glistening diamonds
from my mind
I’ve left spread out
for others to find

Words are the tools
that I have found
to bring them up
from where they’re ground

My pearls of wisdom
that together I string
are given the world
as my love offering

Written down on paper
for others to look
right into my mind
like an open book

As poet and writer
it’s easy to see
just who I am
and strive to be!

We Speak To Them

To the;

*Young

*Old

* Alive

*Even Dead

*”Black”, “white”,

*”yellow” or “red”

*A million thoughts

we each convey

*Throughout the hours

of every day

* But was there

                     a single word

* That by any

was even heard?

A Cliche’ In Mind

Oft’ do I find
a cliche’ in mind

When sitting to write
of my latest plight

Trying not to go
where you already know

Rather bring something new
over which to chew

But it’s never easy
whether in-depth or breezy

A message getting across
without suffering a loss

Of the point made
to not soon fade

Yet in a cliche’ mind
it often stays I find!

Week 57:

On The Bay

Standing here on the bay
as the hurt fades away
from the words you say
seems like it’s every day

Wondering what I should do
because my love for you
is fading from me too
for the pain’s never new

While to God I pray
to show me the way
that Him I not betray
if I leave you today

For what’s left of me
what it must now be
is from you to be free
for you’re not my destiny!

Teresa Marie  11/14/11
For Shawna Marie, I love you!
