It’s A Funny Thing

Forgiveness is such
a funny thing
it’s not easy
in the offering

 But it warms
the heart cold
relieving the pain
it may hold

And it cools
the burning sting
that betrayal did
to it bring

Yes, funny thing
that forgiveness is
never so easy
because it is His!

  1. You’re spiritual poems have always been great and straight from you heart. Although I haven’t been on your blog for quite sometime I can’t deny that you deserve to be nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award. Congradulations! I hope you accept this nomination!

    1. You are so sweet to think of me for this award. Unfortunately, I have already received it and been nominated again for it before but thank you so much anyway!!! Blessings…

  2. Theresa forgiveness is such a wonderfull thing if you can forgive i personally have had problems with this in life although i try but this poem has a lot of good meaning to it and really is worth reading others should read all this you are certainly getting very popular now with 52,000 views that is something you have achieved this is your proof get it published. from kevin

    1. Kevin, Forgiveness is easier to write about than to achieve 🙂 I only did it with the Lord’s help. And thanks for the encouragement you always give me about getting published! I am checking into it. Peace and love, Teresa

    1. Thanks Scott! I love that saying too and it is so very true. After all those years of abuse, manipulation and control, I refused to allow him to control me afterwards by hating him! God had given me freedom and I wasn’t going to waste that gift on bitterness and hatred. Blessings, Terri

  3. oh, my, almost everyone writes about forgiveness,

I love the idea that we are imperfect and make mistakes,
    Cheers.

    Happy Poetry Picnic.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
