By The Time

When you read this
I will be gone

For me there’ll never
be a new dawn

‘Cause by the time
you wanna stop me

From this painful life
I will be free

All of the haters
have done their best

My will to live
they put to test

Which I do guess
that I did fail

So I’ve chosen from
this world to bail!

Dedicated to all those who were bullied and couldn’t go on,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand!

Bullying is a true crime and, unfortunately, has grown to epidemic proportions in this country.  My heart goes out to those parents who have lost their children due to this CRIME and unless it is considered/prosecuted as such, there will be more grief because of it.  This is my attempt to raise awareness.

    1. Thanks! My daughter has a friend who is harrassed/made fun of/bullied at school and she sometimes feel suicidal (which her home life adds to her distress) and it just breaks my heart that a 14 yr. old child is made to feel like she doesn’t want to live! We had our clicks and stuff like that when I was going up but this situation that kids are dealing with today is a whole nother ballgame. Peace, love and blessings, Terri

  1. I almost didn’t click the “Like” button even though I really do like your poem. I just didn’t want it to seem that I “like” bullying. That said – I love this poem. It is very heartfelt. There are many, many who are bullied. It goes way back to when I was a chld and thin as a picket fence rail. It stays with you forever. You never stop having those skinny and fast messages in your head. Now-a-days, it has gotten very severe. I feel for those parents who feel helpless as to what to do.I hope the message gets to those you are the culprits.
    Blessings,
    Isadora

  2. So wicked to hurt others this way! So awful that kids can’t see any other way out! May Jesus help our kids! Especially the child you mentioned, your child’s friend.
