Wishing – A-Z Alphabet Challenge; W-Archives

Wishing the rain
stops without delay

Wishing to see
a rainbow display

Wishing the sun
comes to stay

Wishing to go
outside and play

Wishing for more
time in a day

Sometimes we’re wishing
our lives away

  1. wooww!! i get what you are saying, sometimes we do all waste our times while wishing for things which might never happen..beautiful poetry, but i do love this poem and i absolutely adore the picture, i remember many a day i spent as a kid looking out of a window wishing to go somewhere ( but i wasnt really waiting to go outside since i was not an out dorsy type of child lol.. i stayed in more, read some books, did some puzzles, wrote some things).. 🙂

    1. Thanks Lynn! I used to say, when I was a kid, “I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight” remember that saying? I think it was starlight, star bright. I think we do that a lot when we are unhappy with our current circumstances. Although, like you said, options are few to do otherwise at times… hugs, Terri
