New Military Honors; Via My Nephew

Monday’s Military Honors!

My Friday Military Honor Post

My Monday Military Appreciation; Pictures Via My Brother & Nephew

I Didn’t Know

The day you asked me
if I’d marry you
how could I have foresee
when we said I do

And the wedding was over
on that very same day
word coming from Dover
that you’re called away

How could I ever know
you’d be taken from me
before the bouquet I’d throw
or the reception we’d see

Rice still in the packet
the sound of running feet
making such a loud racket
as our eyes would meet

“I’m so sorry,” was said
“Darling, I love you!”
as away you were led
with the groomsmen too

No, I didn’t know
left crying I’d be
’cause you had to go
fight for our country

Just be safe, baby,
 wherever you may go
 and come home so maybe
that reception we’ll throw!

GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR TROOPS & FRIENDS

Just In Time For The Fourth of July – I’m Still Crying

Mom e-mailed this to me last night and I just watched it a few minutes ago.  I’m still crying!  God bless America and all of her soldiers serving near or far!

It began with this message:

God bless you. Lizzy Palmer, I hope your service member came home safely. Thank you so much for such a heartfelt tribute!

Subject: This belongs in the email Hall of Fame

A 15 year old girl made this.

This puts to shame the output of a number of Hollywood producers and/or directors. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!
This film was made by a 15 year old girl. It is the hottest thing on the internet and on Fox News today. Lizzie Palmer who put this YouTubeprogram together, is 15 years old. There have been over 3,000,000 hits as of this morning. In case you missed it, here it is.

Watch all of it…….and, pass it on!!

What A Touch Of Class Looks Like

WHAT A TOUCH OF CLASS LOOKS LIKE.

There’s  a group of ladies in the Dallas area who make and stuff
neck pillows for soldiers coming through DFW airport.

They go to the airport and meet the incoming planes every week and greet the soldiers coming back for a few weeks R&R, give them a pillow, tell them they pray for them, and thank them for their service.

The lady who took the pictures said everyone was so surprised to see George and Laura Bush
recently just standing quietly in the waiting area with others who come to meet the troop
planes.

She said it was amazing to watch the faces of the soldiers light up in recognition when they spotted them, and that many came over to speak and shake  hands.

Enlighten me if any of you can remember any ex-president and wife that stood in line at an airport to greet our servicemen and women as they are coming home.

Definitely a big difference between talkers and doers.

This was the latest and greatest from my mother and I had to share it with you.  President Bush has been degraded and made fun of in the press but I believe that he is much better than people may think.  So he might not have been an eloquent speaker, he might have appeared goofy at times but I give him all props for this one and I agree with what was said at the end of this e-mail, George and Laura put their money where their mouth is!

Always remember that Jesus died for us because He loves us!

God bless the Bush Family,
Teresa Marie

It Is The Veteran

IT IS THE VETERAN

It is the VETERAN,
 not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN,
 not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN,
 not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

    It is the VETERAN,
 not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN,
 not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

 It is the VETERAN
who salutes the Flag,

It is the VETERAN
who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

We never have to wait for Veteran’s Day to honor those who gave their all so that we may have our all!  May they all feel the loving presence of our heavenly Father now and forever!

Teresa Marie

P.S.  These words were in another e-mail that I received this morning.  I only added the images and the closing words.

Oops, It’s Not The Academy Awards Is It?

OOPS, IT’S NOT THE ACADEMY AWARDS IS IT?

It’s just some more soldiers coming home, guess that doesn’t merit the fanfare, regalia or press of the red carpet affairs in some people’s eyes but it sure does in mine!  Welcome home 101st Airborne Division!!  Godspeed to those of you still there.  I just thought I would share the following that I picked up of off my brother’s Facebook page, whose son I spoke of earlier.

And:

I don’t know why there is no press gathered around with the loved ones to report on such a splendous occassion as the return of these or any servicemen and women.  I don’t know why there is no red carpet for them.  I don’t know why actors deserve it and they don’t ’cause if it weren’t for them, all of those people wouldn’t have a country that allows them the freedom to do what they do.  GOD BLESS YOU MY FELLOW AMERICANS FOR DEFENDING OUR RIGHT TO BE JUST THAT, AMERICANS!

Always remember that Jesus died for us because He loves us!

May God enighten us all to what is truly important,
Teresa Marie
