And Three Became Five

Once there had been three
grandchildren to me
But now, man alive
the three became five!

On April 25th, my son and his wife had twins!!  A boy, Hayden Ray, and a girl, Lillian Jo.  Both are healthy (over 5.5 lbs each), although Lilly Jo was breach and broke her collarbone on the way out 😦 but is now moving her arm like nothing ever happened.  After all of the depressing news we’ve had over the last 6-9 months, this is a much needed breath of fresh air.  Here are some picture collages I made of our darling beauties!

Love and hugs to all, Terri

Update and More Life Lessons Learned Wisdom

The world keeps turning
as faster
 it goes
bonfires burning

deliver their blows
the acid ‘s churning
as all heaven know
and what I’m learning
while the stress grows
is all I’m earning
is an ulcer, suppose?

Well, I said I would update you on everything, hopefully I remember it all:

Dad is all clear of cancer.  We are guessing that it just went too long before they realized that he needed surgery and has suffered permanent nerve damage in his spine 😦  The dementia is continuing to worsen.

Jodie’s son was buried on Wed.  Her grandson is doing pretty good now; granddaughter is doing much better and expected to recover, fully?  We will pray it’s so!  Children are strong, resilient little boogers.  Hoping for the best.

Mark is back to square one, we think, but are unsure.  One message said the tests he did were negative but he still needed to get the rest done.  The cardiologist told him last Friday that he didn’t, ?  He has an appt. with his regular doctor tomorrow, guess we’ll see what he says then.  He still can’t go back to work until they find the cause.  Burning through his vacation time rapidly and harvest will soon be upon us 😦

I need a break.  The stress finally took its toll and I slept for 2.5 days straight.  Only woke up to go to the bathroom and eat occasionally.  Hanging in there though 🙂  Thank you all for your comments, love and prayers!!  It means the world to us.

Love and blessings to you all, Terri

Now for some wisdom:

More Words of Wisdom & Encouraging Days

I have been having a hard time, especially lately with Mark off work, keeping myself supplied with clay.  I started thinking about who I could ask if the mfg’s offered discounts to the disabled who used clay as part of their therapy.  One of my doctors has already confirmed for me that it was.  So i asked one of the polymer clay associations/guilds/groups that I’m linked into.  It never ceases to amaze me just how many great people I have met on the internet.  First I start out writing this blog and meet a wonderful group of faithful new friends and now these people.  Within a short amount of time iIreceived: 4 offers to send me some clay and one lady who designs tools for handicapped artists, called “Sculptools,  has sent me tools for free.  Here’s some pics of them :

First One for 2013

Hi to all my friends!!  My first post for 2013.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year holiday.  You know how mine was going 😦 but this year is already getting better, thank the dear Lord!!

My check finally arrived on the 4th and I was able to actually get the gas company to fill our tank that same day.  The first thing Mark said was “Crank up that heat!!”  We are now warm and cozy.

Dad came home from the hospital last Friday and is doing better mentally since he got home.  He always seems to get so disoriented when he’s not there.  They don’t know for sure when they will be able to leave for Florida but are hoping for sometime next week.

Penny is doing better.  She has been released to drive now and that helps just knowing that she can go somewhere if she needs/wants to without having to have someone else take her.  She feels less like a burden.

I got a special treat last week too.  I was checking our stats on the shop and there was a message showing.  When I opened it, I was delighted to find an invitation.  It was from Main Street Artisans.  They asked if we would be interested in joining their group of artisans and displaying some of our “art” in their online store.  I asked them to e-mail me the particulars and said I was honored that they would like to include us.

When I received the info, I was thrilled to find out that it is actually a local shop and they have invited us to put stuff in that shop as well.  We can either rent a booth or do it on consignment.  Isn’t that cool?!!

I had been working on some new clay techniques anyway and thought I would share a few things with you today along with the update.

First up are some jewelry sets that I created using canes I bought from a lady on Etsy.  I even made rings to match with these sets.

And now, these are from canes that I made.  The first two sets are pins with matching earrings.

I hope you enjoyed the display as much as I did creating them.

Thank you for your prayers and support over the last few months, they helped tremendously!!!  Looks like this year has gotten of to a much better start and I am encouraged that it will continue on that path!

Love and hugs to you all, God bless,

Terri
