The Guidelines for Life, I call it… E-mail from Mom

Someone has written these beautiful words.  It’s a must read.
They are like the ten commandments to follow in life all of the time!

Prayer is not a “spare wheel” that you pull out when in trouble, but it is
a “steering wheel” that directs the right path throughout the journey.

So why is a car’s windshield so large & the rear view mirror so small?  Because out PAST in not as important as our FUTURE.  So, look ahead and move on.

Friendship is like a BOOK.  It takes a few minutes to burn, but it takes years to write.

All things in life are temporary.  If going well, enjoy it, it will not last forever.  If going wrong, don’t worry, it can’t last long either.

Old friends are Gold!  New friends are Diamond!  If you get a Diamond don’t forget the Gold!  Because to hold a Diamond, you need a base of Gold.

Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end!”

When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesnt’ solve your problems, He has faith in your abilities.

A blind person asked St. Anthony: “Can there be anything worse than losing your sight?”  He replied, “Yes, losing your vision!”

When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you’re safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

WORRYING does not take away tomorrow’s TROUBLES,,,,, it takes away today’s PEACE!

Live simply.  Love generously.  Care deeply.  Speak kindly.  Leave the rest to God!

Something From My Daughter – Too True!

Maya Angelou  at her best.  Enjoy!

  
Read to the end, you will laugh just picturing it happening. 
I love the thoughts she lives by!!!

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.

 
And, there on television, she said it was ‘exciting..’ 


Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day…..like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:
‘I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.’

‘I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.’

‘I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.’

‘I’ve learned that making a ‘living’ is not the same thing as ‘making a life.’

‘I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance..’

‘I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back…’

‘I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.’

‘I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one.’

‘I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back…’

‘I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn…’

Life is much too short
to be worried over things
or with others to consort
for the treasures money brings

Love will give you bliss
that no money could afford
when a slow, gentle kiss
is more to be adored

To laugh like you’re insane
the best medicine you’ll discover
and for happiness to remain
be playful with your lover

To your love be true
or it’s not love at all
if this you do not do
your heart is very small

put your anger on a shelf

let God be your guide

Precious Life Lessons

We all make mistakes
but for heaven sakes
do whatever it takes
to appreciate your mistakes

‘Cause they hold it’s true
precious lessons for you 
so in everything you do
to yourself be true

To be learned the hard way
through each and every day
but if the truth we say
we don’t lose our way

Let mistakes be taken
the lessons not forsaken
and if I’m not mistaken
to heaven you’ll be taken!
