What Love Defines… Via Andy1076

What love defines..what love gives..

14JAN

Love is fair and does not judge.. it does not waiver and does not fade..it is defined only by our feelings alone..no love is ever the same again..it is a journey through fire of love and the cold of loneliness..that brings us together to where we are now..in each other’s loving embrace..

All Alone To Be

Like climbing a tree
all alone to be
just a book and me
free in my revery

It may be greed
that I do feed
this way to read
if I can succeed

Just to be alone
without clock or phone
where my hair’s blown
and the sun’s shone

Escaping to my tree
where nobody can see
and I am free
to read here happily!

My Flesh and Blood

Oh you darling little baby
flesh and blood of mine

How very much do I
love your innocence divine

I promise that I will
always protect and cherish you

And give you my love
for your whole life through

I promise I will never
at you yell and scream

Because my darling little child
you are my fondest dream

And I will not ever
in life your innocence use

To manipulate or control you
or raise a hand to abuse

When you’re all grown up
there’ll come a wedding day

As you hold my arm
before I give you away

I’ll tell you once again
that precious you’ll always be

He better feel the same
or be answering to me!

A Father’s Love

Nothing in the world
like a father’s love

And nothing better than
our Father up above

They both love us
deeply as the other

In life we’re all
a sister or brother

And their little babies
the Fathers do protect

They are deserving of
our gratitude and respect

For if they scold
it’s because They should

Only to be done
for our own good

And  a Father’s love
runs so very deep

It is something that
you will forever keep!

This Day’s Thought From Monday

This Day's Thought

Prayer Requests

True freedom from fear consists of totally resigning one’s life into the hands of the Lord.

David Wilkerson

This Day's Verse

He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.

Proverbs 19:17
The New International Version

This Day's Smile

The world’s most frustrated man?  It’s the fellow who must always find a short cut, but discovers he is on a straight road.

Poetry Is My Way

Poetry is my way
my feelings to say

Work hard every day
try not to dismay

And come what may
I hope and pray

Before I go away
this message I’ll convey

The Truth, Life and Way
gave all I have today

The words that I say
are to His glory display!

Trying A Limerick

Today I’ll try a limerick
Thought it’d be a kick
To give it a try
And me oh my
Hope this did the trick!

The Purple Treehouse Week 3 submission #1

(As I understand it, a limerick is a 5 line poem.  Lines 1, 2 & 5 must rhyme and lines 3 & 4 must rhyme)

Excalibur

I am the lady
of the lake
from my hands
Excalibur take

You will be
the true king
of all the realm
to you it bring

It’s power is
so very great
take it now
this is your fate

For legends written
of you there’ll be
the greatest king
the world did see

Excalibur from me
take if you’re able
and be king Arthur
of the round table!

Where I Can Be

In my storybook dreams
where I can be

Anything that I want
imagination is set free

Maid Marianne in Nottingham
when meeting Robin Hood

And fighting off the Sheriff
on the side of good

Or maybe even Cinderella
with her wicked step-sisters

Who trades in her rags
for some glass slippers

I could also be
as Joan of Arc too

In my fantasy world
nothing I can’t do

I love to read
and let myself go

Where my life’s different
and problems can’t follow

Somewhere down the line
the storybook still ends

And the time is
over that it suspends

When your real life
floods back in again

But you hold on
to next time when

You can once more
into your book escape

And create the world
in your own shape!

My Monday Thoughts – I Love Quotes

I love images that bring you in, such as the one above, and I love to read quotes!  As you well know by now, I love to write poems from them too.  Last night I went on my Bible Verse Images site that I get a lot of the wallpapers that I use and found a new place to get quotes from other than my Twitter people.  It’s called words4ever.com.  I spent a couple of hours going through the 2 of them last night.  So, no big surprise, I’ll be writing a bunch of new poems in the very near future.

I think it’s great how people can use just a few words to communicate a message that speaks volumes.  That is one technique that I am still trying to master.  I know that I get too wordy in some of my poetry.  I am attempting to break that habit.  The saying, “Less is more” is very true.  We will see how I do with it in this next batch that I write.

And speaking of poems, yesterday when I saw my mother I asked her if she got her copy of the poem that I wrote her.  I had e-mailed her the post.  She said that she had and she sent me an e-mail back.  I replied that I hadn’t got it.  It was good that I asked.  So, she proceeded to tell me that it was beautiful and brought a tear to her eyes.  She also read it to a bunch of people and one friend asked her to print her a copy of it.  I guess I did good there.

Well that’s it for my daily thoughts ’cause I’m off to write those new ones.  Until later…

Always remember that Jesus died for us because He loves us!

May you have a blessed and prosperous day,
Teresa Marie
