So you STILL think God is a merciful God?!

Unbelievable, emotional and victorious story of survival and faith! Praise God.

Into Abundance

So, you still believe in a merciful God?”  Some of the comments online are genuinely inquisitive, others are contemptuous in nature. Regardless of the motive behind the question, I will respond the same way.

Yes.

Yes, I do indeed.

Absolutely, positively, unequivocally.

Let’s get something straight: the theater shooting was an evil, horrendous act done by a man controlled by evil.  God did not take a gun and pull the trigger in a crowded theater. He didn’t even suggest it. A man did.

In His sovereignty, God made man in His image with the ability to choose good and evil.

Unfortunately, sometimes man chooses evil.

I was there in theater 9 at midnight, straining to make out the words and trying to figure out the story line as The Dark NightRises began. I’m not a big movie-goer. The HH and I prefer to watch movies in the comfort…

A Man Frozen

There once was a man
whose name was Stan

One day walking along
whistling a happy song

When he did see
a most splendid tree

And made a big mistake
something from it to take

‘Twas ever so tragic
for the tree was magic

He was frozen in place
to his utter disgrace

Birds nested in his hair
and critters from everywhere

Used him all the time
as a means to climb

For he could not move
nor even to disapprove

And so it is I’m guessin’
we should learn a lesson

If ever a magic tree
you should happen to see

You’d better keep it real
and nothing from it steal

Or you could be frozen
that’s just what I’m supposin’

The Man

On the beach one day
I saw a child play

While sitting in the sand
as near the waves did stand

The figure of a Man
appearing tall and tan

As if by happenstance
but it made no sense

From His shoulders was draped
my attention it hadn’t escaped

A robe of some form
quite out of the norm

Just as He turn around
to my astonishment I found

On His face did see
a recognition there of me

And I felt the same
while searching for His Name

A smile broke His face
of such beauty and grace

That is when I knew
Who I was seeing too

As to Him I ran
all according to His plan!
