Found In Memory

You Chose To Fade

From dandelion wishes
to the Italian dishes
all with love you made

From this mortal life
fraught with joy and strife
this morning you chose to fade

With the angels to stand
and holding Eston’s hand
you’ve entered into God’s glory

You will be dearly missed
by the lives you have kissed
with the end of your earthly story!

In memory of my dear Aunt Marge who passed away early this morning,
with all my love!

30 Day Letter Writing Challenge; Letter 15 — The person you miss the most

To have to pick someone
that I miss the most
is impossible to do

But for this letter’s sake
and the prompt given
I will name you two

With whom I had spent
many of the summers
in my younger years

And have wonderful memories
of the days shared
with laughter and tears

One of the nicest
people in the world
would just have to be

Out of my mother’s
five brothers and seven sisters
would be my Aunt Eddie

Along with her husband
who was my Uncle Gale
that I have dearly missed

Who with love and joy
my heart  and soul
was forever by them kissed!

And so it is
in the deepest of
loving memory

I dedicate this poem
to these special two
who have blessed me!

Memories and Friends

Forever lasts a memory
So build them every day
Tomorrow you will see
They are all that stay

You blink your eyes
The years have flown by
Before you can realise
That your memories won’t die

True friends stay together
Through the thick and thin
Hard times they weather
From when they first begin

And never say goodbye
No matter what the distance
On friends you rely
For all of time’s existence

With you they will go
Into the great unknown
To reap what you sow
The harvest love has grown.
