Inside You’re Bleeding

Do you wanna be somebody else?
Sick of feeling so left out?
Hate when they think that you
don’t know what you’re talking about?

Are you desperate to find something
more before your life is over?
Wanna stare up at the rainbows
while lying in fields of clover?

Are you sick of everyone around?
Wish they would leave you alone
with the big fake smiles that
look like they’re chiseled in stone?

There’s no one that really cares
what it is you are needing
all you get’s their superior lies
while deep down inside you’re bleeding!

$2.99 Senior Special – Via Mom – Hilarious!

$2.99 SPECIAL
I love it……………………………

If you are a senior you will understand this one,

if you deal with seniors, this should help you understand them a little better,

and if you are not a senior yet……..God willing, someday you will be…….

The 2.99 Special

We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the ‘seniors’ special’ was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99.

‘Sounds good,’ my wife said. ‘But I don’t want the eggs.’

‘Then, I’ll have to charge you $3.49 because you’re ordering a la carte,’ the waitress warned her.

‘You mean I’d have to pay for not taking the eggs?’ my wife asked incredulously.

‘YES!’ stated the waitress.

‘I’ll take the special then,’ my wife said..

‘How do you want your eggs?’ the waitress asked.

‘Raw and in the shell,’ my wife replied.

She took the two eggs home and baked a cake.

DON’T MESS WITH SENIORS!!!
WE’VE been around the block more than once!

Send this to the Seniors in your life. I’m sure they’ll appreciate it!

Even non-seniors will appreciate it!

Just Smile

When you are sad
even when you’re mad
can’t be that bad
smile you’ll be glad

When you wanna shout
don’t scream it out
for without a doubt
a smile turns it about

When your heart’s aching
and although it’s breaking
life is of your making
a smile’s for the taking

Stress on you they pile
up higher than a mile
don’t your every grievance file
but instead give a smile

Go on be a sport
no need to resort
to a snappy retort
just smile with a snort!

The Girl Effect Blogging Event Via Ermi and Elia

Being a girl is hard enough without the extra pressures put on girls in poverty.  Women, remember being twelve?  No one expected you to be an adult and hopefully your biggest medical worry was the flu.  Men, could you imagine your sister, niece, daughter, or granddaughter married off at twelve, separated from her family and loved ones?  It is easy to sit back in our recliners and forget that not everyone gets to choose when they are married.

The world is not equal.  Did you know, according to The Girl Effect website “[l]ess than two cents of every international aid dollar is directed to girls.”

Less than two cents.

Today, more than 600 million girls live in the developing world.  Talk about untapped potential since aprox. three quarters of them are not in school and one in seven is married off before she turns fifteen.  The Girl Effect Campaign is not just about letting these girls experience childhood and grow into productive and healthy adults, but also the impact they will have on their families, their communities, and their countries, as adults.  Girls can become anything, policy makers, doctors, lawyers, but not if they continue to be overlooked and their potential squandered.

The Beauty Of Anne Frank

I don’t think of
all the misery seen

Of those angry people
who are so mean

But of the beauty
that still does remain

Not letting the horror
my heart to stain

That’s the beauty of
this precious Anne Frank

When reading her story
how my heart sank

A life of desperation
was forced to live

When she only had
her love to give

A time of terror
hiding in a room

‘Til having no escape
finally met her doom

With tear streaming eyes
I reached the end

Feeling that I had
lost a lovely friend.

A Pound Of Knowledge

“Beware you be not swallowed up in books!  An ounce of love is worth a pound of knowledge.”   – John Wesley

Of this you must beware
And then take special care

Not be swallowed up in
This earthly world of sin

And follow in its ways
Doing whatever it says

Of the knowledge to pursue
Above anything else you do

For it’s not worth a pound
Over what I have found

‘Cause when you walk in love
You give praise to God above

Doesn’t matter what you know
But how through life you go!
